Christian’s Life and Walk：“do” and “don’t”
弗 5:15 你們要謹慎行事、不要像愚昧人 (unwise)、當像智慧人 (wise)．
弗 5:16 要愛惜光陰 (making the best of the time)、因為現今的世代邪惡。
弗 5:17 不要作糊塗人、要明白主的旨意如何。 
(Do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is) 
弗 5:18 不要醉酒、酒能使人放蕩 (debauchery)、乃要被聖靈充滿。
弗 5:19 當用詩章 (psalms)、頌詞 (hymns)、靈歌 (spiritual songs)、彼此對說、口唱心和的讚美主．
弗 5:20 凡事要奉我們主耶穌基督的名、常常感謝父　神。
Ephesians 5:15-20 (ESV)

愛上帝到輕視自己
神學家奧古斯丁（Augustine of Hippo）曾在《上帝之城》當中，描繪了兩種國度中的人：在「上帝之城」當中的人，「愛上帝到輕視自己」。
腓 3:8-10 不但如此、我也將萬事當作有損的、因我以認識我主基督耶穌為至寶。我為他已經丟棄萬事、看作糞土、為要得著基督. 並且得以在他裡面、不是有自己因律法而得的義、乃是有信基督的義、就是因信　神而來的義. 使我認識基督、曉得他復活的大能、並且曉得和他一同受苦、效法他的死。

相對地，在「世俗之城」當中的人，「愛自己到輕視上帝」，這樣的人受到「情慾」的主宰，其中一項情慾就是：「統治或支配的情慾」（lust for mastery and domination），也就是人對權力 （今生的驕傲）的追求。
約一 2:15-17 不要愛世界、和世界上的事。人若愛世界、愛父的心就不在他裡面了。因為凡世界上的事、就像肉體的情慾、眼目的情慾、並今生的驕傲、都不是從父來的、乃是從世界來的。這世界、和其上的情慾、都要過去．惟獨遵行　神旨意的、是永遠常存。
你是神的僕人還是世界的奴僕？誰是你的主？

信心如同膠卷底片是在黑暗中生出果效的. 未經考驗過的信心信仰如同房子建造在沙土上.

Faith, like film, is developed in the dark. Unchallenged faith is merely a house built on the sand.

撒下 22:2 說、耶和華是我的巖石、我的山寨、我的救主、

撒下 22:3 我的　神、我的磐石、我所投靠的．他是我的盾牌、是拯救我的角、是我的高臺、

是我的避難所．我的救主阿、你是救我脫離強暴的。

撒下 22:4 我要求告當讚美的耶和華、這樣、我必從仇敵手中被救出來。

撒下 22:19 我遭遇災難的日子、他們來攻擊我．但耶和華是我的倚靠。

撒下 22:20 他又領我到寬闊之處．他救拔我、因他喜悅我。
